This is the content that stays on your account and keeps informing others about what you as a company are up to. Once you create an account, make sure to post something about your business at least once every four days that allows the algorithms to keep you at people's home page and keep you there longer. And no, you do not look less serious if you are on one or more of these accounts. Snapchat has slowed down already giving a lot of space to apps like WhatsApp, TikTok, Messenger and etc. So, how to create these Ephemeral Stories then?įirst of all, I would start to make sure as a company you have an Instagram Account. Needless to say, if the customers are there, why should not you?! Additionally, 53% of Snapchat users are under 34 and the spending power of Millennials is set to surpass $1 trillion by 2020. Combined they account for around 18 billion daily video views. ![]() By sharing posts about yourself, you establish an understanding of who you are and by sharing quick (ephemeral) stories you catch their attention and keep them around long enough to fall in love with you!Īnd not only! According to the Digital Marketing Institute (2019), Snapchat has 173 million daily active users. To summarize, by being on social media, you enter the phones of your customers. Either give them something to stay or they leave and follow someone else. If they don't like the content you create, you will notice the drops on your follower list. People who follow you will respond to your posts with likes and views and comments and sometimes even with shares if you have a good relationship with your customers (Depends on how you serve them). If you know how to create those catchy posts on your social media account, you are already doing a great job. ![]() Your weekly contents are great a summary of who you are as a business. Once they come, and once they like what they see, they follow and they stay. ![]() All you need to do is to choose how many days to publicize your ad, which geographic area, which gender or age groups, what hashtags to use (important), and of course have a nice cover story to "trick" them to your page. Obviously getting your customer's attention to your social media is the first step. Then what is the best way of being on your customer's phone? A good answer is, being on their social media. It is expensive to use phone services, and it is really time-consuming and yeah one more thing, we customers, hate it and hate you for doing it! Obviously, you can't call them or text them constantly to remind them about yourself ( that era of call marketing and text message marketing is dead!). Bummer right? So, if you are trying to access your clients and customers, you need to be on their phone too. Imagine what happens if you realize you have left your phone home and went to work without it. Everything is done over the phone, you yourself can't even live without your phone for an hour. People are sitting on their phones at all times now. Well, if you recognize these challenges, then why not to try Ephemeral Stories. It looks hard, teenagy and also most of the time, we don't even have time to sit and think what to share. You do understand marketing is important but then doing it sounds like a foreign language. As the intern changes the content structure and style change with it and sometimes you don't post anything for days or even months until another "geek" appears at your door. Here I wanted to share why it is good for businesses and in what ways using Ephemeral Stories may increase your target audience while still looking "serious".īig businesses have enough resources to hire content developers whilst small ones rely on "geek" interns. Although we all know it and individually use it, many businesses refrain from practicing it in fear of giving the "casual and unserious" impression. It is not a new concept or a function and has been around since 2012s with the birth of Snapchat. Ephemeral Stories are simple visual content (video or photo) that are only available for a short period of time. ![]()
